The Bruins defeated the Flyers in what was supposed to be a rematch from the Winter Classic. With the luring news that Marc Savard might be out for the rest of the season, Patrice Bergeron led the way last night with 3 points for the B's. He scored a goal and had 2 assists. Tuukka Rask made 31 saves on the night. Other than Bergeron, other scorers were Recchi, Krejci, and Wheeler. Boston is 7-2-2 in their last 11 games. They have 72 points, within 2 of Philadelphia and Montreal for the 6th seed. The Bruins will be playing Montreal on Saturday night, hoping to get ahead in the standings.
All in all, the guys had a good game and played like they should have all season long. They were physical, made important saves, and more importantly scored goals. This is what we all like to see in our favorite team and hopefully will see the same on Saturday against the Canadiens.
