Tonight will be the fifth out of six games between the Buffalo Sabres and the Boston Bruins this season. The Bruins have taken 3 out of the first 4 games, with Tuukka Rask in net for all four if those games. Tim Thomas was first of the ice this morning, so expect him to get the start tonight. The B's haven't been playing well at home since the New Year, but the game against Calgary on Saturday was definitely an encouraging one. At the moment, Montreal, Boston, Philadelphia, Atlanta and the New York Rangers are all vying for the final 3 playoff berths. The Bruins have the most games left to play out of all these teams, and are in complete control of there own destiny as they start Monday in the 8th spot of the Eastern Conference.
David Krejci has two goals and four assists during a three-game points streak for the Bruins. Chara has two goals and two assists during a three-game points streak. Patrice Bergeron has a goal and three assists during a three-game points streak. Mark Recchi has goals in consecutive games.
Andrew Ference is listed as day-to-day with a groin injury. Marc Savard is out indefinitely with post-concussions symptoms, but he was able to stop by Saturday to visit his teammates. All were very excited to see him.
The puck drops at 7:00 PM at the TD Garden. Now, tell me who do you think is going to come out with the win tonight?
